Der Krampus.
Krampus is St. Nicholas’s helper who finds and put naughty children in his sack and takes them back to his place… Probably for dinner.
He’s a creature from Germanic folklore and during the first week of December young men dress up as the Krampus and roam the streets at night scaring children with chains and bells. He’s often depicted as demonic creature with a long tounge, a sack with children, chains, and switches.
I can only imagine naughty children get whipped before getting stuffed into that sack never to see their parents again.
